The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, Tukur Umar Danfulani, has called on party members—especially those in leadership positions—to address their grievances through the party’s internal structures rather than making public statements without proper verification.
His remarks follow a social media post by the APC State Welfare Secretary, Bashir Idris Ataka, questioning the authenticity of a Ramadan welfare package reportedly provided by the Minister of State for Defence and former governor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle.
In a statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Yusuf Idris Gusau, the Zamfara APC clarified that Ataka’s comments were his personal views and did not reflect the official stance of the party.
The statement reaffirmed the party’s appreciation for Matawalle’s welfare initiatives, especially during Ramadan and Sallah, noting that such efforts have consistently been distributed fairly, regardless of political affiliations.
The APC further assured members that it would investigate the matter and implement measures to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
It also urged party supporters to remain patient and continue to support the leadership’s efforts to enhance members’ welfare across all levels.
