Israel’s Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service has confirmed that five people were killed and 92 others wounded in Monday’s missile attacks launched by Iran on multiple targets within Israel. The fresh casualty figures, released in an official statement, raise the initial death toll of four to five.

According to the MDA, the victims included two women and two men around the age of 70, along with one additional fatality. Emergency teams have evacuated at least 92 injured individuals to various hospitals across the country.

“A 30-year-old woman is currently in serious condition with facial injuries, while six others are reported to be in moderate condition and 85 with mild injuries,” the MDA statement noted.

Search and rescue operations are still underway at two of the four sites struck by Iranian missiles in central Israel.

The attack follows overnight missile barrages fired by Iran in retaliation for Israel’s earlier strikes on military installations deep inside Iranian territory. Tensions in the region have escalated dramatically, with both nations trading threats of wider conflict.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz warned on Monday that Tehran would face severe consequences for targeting Israeli civilians, saying Iran’s leadership would “pay the price” for its aggression.
