Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, has extended heartfelt congratulations to his Congolese counterpart, Jean-Claude Gakosso, and the people of the Republic of the Congo as the Central African nation celebrates its Independence Anniversary.
Ambassador Tuggar described the occasion as a proud symbol of the resilience, unity, and determination of the Congolese people in their pursuit of sovereignty and national development.
He emphasized Nigeria’s commitment to the long-standing relations between both nations, built on cooperation in trade, cultural exchange, maritime affairs, and regional peace initiatives.
“As Nigeria joins the Republic of the Congo in celebrating this historic milestone, we reaffirm our dedication to peace, mutual respect, and the enduring bonds of African brotherhood,” Tuggar said.
The minister further noted Nigeria’s readiness to deepen diplomatic and economic collaboration with Congo, while also working together to address pressing regional and global challenges.
He concluded by wishing the Congolese people continued harmony, progress, and shared prosperity in the years ahead.
