Manchester City have lost their first Premier League game to Liverpool in the highly anticipated match on Sunday, at Anfield.
Liverpool’s Egyptian footballer, Mohammed Salah’s goal made the difference in the game, a goal which was assisted by goalkeeper, Alisson Becker.
The result takes the Gunners four points ahead of City and 13 points ahead of Liverpool, who moved to eighth position on the league table.
Liverpool had had a slow start in the season, having lost three out of nine games played and four draws.
Salah’s 76′ goal was the Egyptian’s third goal of the season.
Pep Guardiola’s men were held back for the first time this season and top goal scorer Erling Haaland’s foul on a Liverpool defender led to Phil Foden’s goal being cancelled.
The Cityzens left Anfield with 23 points, after Liverpool’s coach Jurgen Klopp, described the result as “perfect” and performance “good.”
