The President of the ECOWAS Commission, Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, has received the Letters of Credence of seven newly appointed ambassadors, reaffirming the regional bloc’s commitment to strengthening global partnerships.
The official ceremony, held at the ECOWAS Headquarters in Abuja, brought together envoys representing Pakistan, Ethiopia, Greece, Spain, India, UNIDO and UNICEF.
In his remarks, President Touray said the renewed diplomatic engagement demonstrates ECOWAS’s resolve to deepen cooperation in areas critical to the region’s stability and growth.
According to him, “If we prioritize humanity, we can tackle global challenges more effectively.”
