FG Sets Up Anti-Bullyling Committee to Protect Students in Schools

The Federal Government has launched a seven-member committee to combat bullying in schools, reinforcing its commitment to student welfare and a safe learning environment.

At the committee’s inauguration in Abuja, Minister of Education Dr. Olatunji Alausa emphasized the urgent need for action, citing the severe psychological toll of bullying on students. He reaffirmed the government’s zero-tolerance policy and called for collaboration from school administrators, teachers, parents, and students.

“This initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, prioritizing education as a key driver of national development,” Dr. Alausa stated.

The committee will investigate reported cases, ensuring swift action alongside a 21-member team already working on a National Policy on Anti-Bullying.
