CNG Truck Explodes, Kill Scores at Karu Bridge

A devastating accident occurred this evening at Karu Bridge, between Kugbo and Nyanya in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), involving a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) truck and multiple vehicles.

According to Mr. Mark Nyam, Head of Forecasting, Response, and Mitigation at the FCT Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the crash happened at approximately 7:14 PM when the driver of the CNG truck lost control, colliding with other motorists and triggering an explosion.

Emergency response teams from FEMA, the Federal Fire Service, FCT Fire Service, the Nigeria Police Force, and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) swiftly arrived at the scene to conduct search and rescue operations.

Authorities have yet to confirm the number of casualties as rescue efforts continue. Further details will be provided as the situation unfolds.
