Renowned Nigerian gospel musician Olanrewaju Bolaji, popularly known as Big Bolaji, has passed away at the age of 50.

According to a statement released by his family, the beloved gospel singer died on Friday, April 19, 2025, following a brief illness. Reports indicate that Big Bolaji collapsed while performing at an event on the night of Thursday, April 18. He was reportedly rushed for medical attention but sadly did not recover.

Known for his energetic stage presence and soul-stirring gospel renditions, Big Bolaji was a prominent figure in Nigeria’s gospel music scene. He marked his 50th birthday in 2024, celebrating a legacy of music ministry that inspired many.
