The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a new date for the commencement of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), moving it forward by a day to Thursday, April 24, 2025.

This update was confirmed in an official statement released on Saturday by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the Public Communication Advisor to JAMB. Originally scheduled for Friday, April 25, the exam was rescheduled due to “essential commitments” involving the Board and its partner agencies.

> “The 2025 UTME is now set to begin on Thursday, April 24, instead of Friday, April 25. This adjustment is necessary to accommodate key engagements by the Board and its collaborating institutions,” the statement read.

JAMB Opens Portal for UTME 2025 Slip Printing

In preparation for the examination, JAMB has activated its online portal, urging all registered candidates to print their 2025 UTME Notification Slips immediately. These slips contain crucial details such as exam date, time, and venue.

To print the slip, candidates should:

1. Visit the official JAMB website: www.jamb.gov.ng

2. Click on “2025 UTME Slip Printing”

3. Enter their JAMB Registration Number

4. Click “Print Examination Slip”

JAMB emphasized the importance of printing the slips in advance to avoid confusion or delays on the day of the exam. Candidates are also encouraged to familiarize themselves with the location of their designated examination centres ahead of time.

JAMB Reiterates Centre Policy: No Exam Outside Assigned Towns

The Board maintained its strict policy regarding examination locations. Candidates are not allowed to appear at any centre outside the town they selected during registration.

> “Each candidate will be assigned to a centre strictly within their chosen examination town. No exceptions will be made under any circumstances,” JAMB warned.
