Top Nigerian celebrities, including Davido, Iyabo Ojo, Funke Akindele and Femi Adebayo, have expressed deep shock and sorrow over the recent killings and violent attacks in Kwara State, as well as the kidnapping of schoolgirls in Kebbi State.
The tragic incidents, which include an attack on a church in Ekuru, Kwara State, and the abduction of 25 schoolgirls in Kebbi, have triggered nationwide outrage, with public figures calling for urgent government action.
In an emotional statement, music star Davido said his heart aches for the abducted girls and their families, stressing the need for national unity in confronting insecurity.
“My heart goes out to the young girls kidnapped in Kebbi State and to their families. No family deserves this pain… These acts of violence must never become our norm,”he wrote.
Davido urged anyone with credible information to assist security agencies and prayed for the safe return of all abducted victims.
Iyabo Ojo emphasized that Nigerians must unite and demand accountability from the government and security agencies.
“Enough is enough. We must stand together against injustice and demand an end to these atrocities.”
As outrage mounts, Nigerians continue to call for justice, stronger security, and the immediate rescue of all abducted girls.
Leading the charge for a more forceful response, actress Iyabo Ojo issued a lengthy statement demanding immediate government action to end what she described as “ongoing violence, abductions, and terrorism in Nigeria.”
She urged authorities to address internal security breaches, strengthen protection for citizens, seek international help if needed, equip the military with modern tools, arrest personnel aiding terrorists, and mobilize the Air Force for decisive operations.
Actress Funke Akindele echoed similar concerns, saying she wept after seeing footage of worshippers running for safety. She called the attack “sad and disturbing.”

Nigerian comedian and singer Nasboi also joined the growing chorus of celebrities reacting to the horrific attack in Kwara State, expressing outrage over the continued state of insecurity in the country.
In a post shared on social media, Nasboi said he has repeatedly watched the viral video showing worshippers being attacked inside a church in Kwara. Deeply disturbed by the footage, he vowed not to remain silent in the face of rising violence and government inaction.
“I keep watching this Kwara video. I’d rather die than be afraid to speak. We need accountability. Our country is in shambles. Enough is enough,” He wrote:
Meanwhile, Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo also reacted after watching a livestream of the Kwara church attack.
He described the video as heartbreaking, highlighting the image of an elderly woman struggling to escape.
“These are human lives… We need to step up our security measures. This can’t continue anywhere within our country.”
