Mandy, the former wife of popular Nigerian skit maker Mark Angel, has spoken publicly about her experiences during their marriage, shedding light on issues she claims contributed to their separation.
The former couple reportedly parted ways quietly several years ago after the birth of their daughter. In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Mandy detailed several challenges she said she faced while married to the comedian.
Presenting her account in a game-style format, Mandy asked viewers to raise or lower their fingers in response to different situations she described from her marriage.
In the video, she claimed that her partner pressured her into a threesome with a stranger on their wedding night, instructing her to tell the other woman that he was “just a friend” to make her feel comfortable.
Among her claims, Mandy alleged that during an intimate moment after childbirth, Mark Angel abruptly withdrew and made comments about “feeling her body again.” She said she later made conscious efforts to improve her appearance, but alleged that he continued to make unflattering remarks about her body.
She also claimed that her cooking was sometimes criticised in the presence of friends, only for those criticisms to disappear when the same friends were around.
In another account, Mandy alleged that Mark Angel once left their home around 4 a.m. to assist an ex-girlfriend who was reportedly experiencing domestic abuse. She further claimed that he once told her he was suffering from a serious illness, though he appears to be healthy today.
Mandy also alleged that her former husband once spent the night with another woman in their home while she stayed in a separate room. According to her, she could hear them and later saw them appear flushed and sweaty. When she confronted him, she claimed he insisted the woman was “just a friend” and that nothing inappropriate had occurred.
The revelations have since sparked widespread reactions online, with social media users expressing mixed opinions as discussions around marriage, boundaries and celebrity relationships continue to trend.
