Kwara state invests over ₦2 Billion in sports development

Over 2 billion naira has been spent by ‎Kwara State Government in renovating the Pa Gabriel Ladipo indoor sports hall to enhance sports administration in the state.

The  Executive Chairman of  the State Sports Commission Coach Bola Magaji made the disclosure while speaking during a media tour by Correspondents chapel of  NUJ, Kwara  state at the George Innih Stadium Ilorin .

According to him the state government had also invested in the football field, tennis court, squash court, among others.

He said  not many sectors had enjoyed much support like sports from the  present administration in  the last six years.

‎Magaji explained that  the state government has put in place a legacy that anybody who wants to beat it will have to work hard.

He noted that the state government is extending investments beyond the city-centre with ongoing reconstruction of Offa and Lafiagi stadia in the southern and northern senatorial districts inorder to create a more inclusive sports ecosystem.
