Nigerian international defender William Troost-Ekong has completed a move to Doha-based Al Ahli SC following his departure from Saudi Arabian side Al Kholood.
The experienced centre-back has signed a contract that will keep him at the Qatari club as they push for a strong finish to the ongoing season.
Troost-Ekong has been handed his preferred No. 5 jersey and is expected to play a key leadership role in Al Ahli’s defensive setup.
Reacting to the transfer, the 32-year-old took to social media to express his excitement about the new chapter in his career.

Troost-Ekong wrote.
During his time at Al Kholood, the former Super Eagles captain made 49 appearances, scoring two goals while providing defensive stability and on-field leadership.
Club insiders believe his arrival will significantly strengthen Al Ahli’s squad as they aim to improve their league standing before the end of the campaign.
Troost-Ekong’s experience at both club and international levels is expected to boost the team’s defensive organization and overall performance in the coming weeks.
