The Coalition of Civil Society For Good Governance has appealed to political parties to reduce the cost of their nomination forms to avoid discouraging youths and women of goodwill from contesting in the next year’s general election.
The Convener of the Group, Comrade Okpanachi Jacob made the appeal while addressing Newsmen on the decision to encourage worthy Aspirants into various elective offices come 2023.
Comrade Jacob listed the Aspirants to include: Dr. Victor Alewo Adoji for Kogi East Senotorial District, Senator Aliyu Abdullahi Sabi for Niger North Senatorial District and Alhaji Muhammed Gudaji Kazaure for House for Kazaure, Roni, Gwiwa, Yankwashi Federal Constituency Jigawa State.
According to him, the encouragement was borne out of long term researches and aspirant profiling aimed at projecting Nigerians with distinct leadership qualities desirable by electorates towards creating the needed paradigm shift across the Country.
He called on all member CSOs of the coalition across the 36 states to mobilize their structures towards achieving success for the aspirants in 2023.
The Group stressed that a southern presidency factor would stabilize the nation’s democracy and urged political parties to toll the part of this agenda.
