The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr. Peter Obi, has lamented the brutal killing of the Reverend Father John Mark Chietnum of the Kafanchan Catholic Diocese, by yet unidentified terrorists, in Kaduna State.

Mr. Obi said Fr. Chietnum’s death was one of the many needless bloodletting in the country arising from poor leadership that needed to be changed.

The LP Presidential Candidate remarked that the daily killing of Nigerians, especially the youths, across the country, made it imperative that they arose in unison irrespective of religion, tribe or geography, to take back their country.

Mr. Obi also decried the yet unexplained reason for the massacre of over 20 Nigerian youths in the Mgbidi area of Imo State, expressing concern that the value placed on human lives in this country was extremely poor.

The former Governor of Anambra State said the blood of innocent Nigerians shed would not be in vain as they would all be martyrs for the revival of the country.

Until his death, The Reverend Chietnum was the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Jema’a Local Government Area and also the coordinating CAN Chairman, Southern Kaduna.
