Popular American streamer and YouTube personality iShowSpeed has addressed concerns over his decision not to collaborate with content creators during his ongoing Africa tour.
Speaking on the issue, iShowSpeed explained that the primary purpose of the tour was not to create streamer collaborations, but to showcase the rich cultures of African countries.
He said the focus was to highlight everyday people, local communities, and street performers with genuine talent who rarely receive international exposure.
The streamer noted that each stop on the tour was carefully planned by his team, with tight schedules and specific locations to visit in every country.
According to him, the itinerary would leave little room for unscheduled meet-ups or influencer collaborations.
iShowSpeed further stated that many of the creators expressing dissatisfaction already have established platforms of their own, while the tour was intentionally designed to amplify voices and talents that do not usually get such visibility.
He added that he would not cancel cultural experiences arranged by local hosts or community members to accommodate influencers, stressing that the goal of the Africa tour was to present authentic African culture to a global audience, rather than centre the experience around content creators.
