The Inter-party Advisory Council, IPAC Enugu State Chapter has congratulated the governor-elect of Enugu State, Barr Dr Peter Mbah of People’s Democratic Party, PDP in his victory.
In a press statement signed by the Chairman of the IPAC Enugu State Chapter, Hon Edwin Alor and secretary, Elvis Ugwuoke following the declaration of Peter Mbah as the winner of the Enugu state governorship election, on 23nd March, 2023.
According to the statement, IPAC Enugu State Chapter congratulated Peter Mbah on his well deserved victory at the Saturday 18 March, 2023 gubernatorial elections in Enugu State.
Mba’s resilience, and faith in the electoral process has clearly shown that he is determined to bring his wealth of experience to bear in other to make Enugu State better. We commend the electorates who defied the harsh weather and came out to exercise their civic responsibility by voting for Dr Peter Mba to lead Enugu State as their Governor.
Enugu IPAC chairman described Mba victory as well deserved and acknowledged his consistency to liberate Enugu from the shackles of under-development.
According to Hon Alor, Dr Peter Mba come from the corporate world of oil & gas and private sector. We at IPAC Enugu State Chapter are glad of your victory and share a deep sense of your commitment and duty to our dear State Enugu, your background in the private sector, where you have gained the required experience needed to change the fortunes of our dear State.
Therefore, we repose our confidence in Mba’s capacity, compitence and character to deliver dividends of democracy and good governance to citizenry and residents of Enugu State.
“Since we have come to the logical end of this battle, it is appropriate to congratulate the winner, Dr Peter Mba, on his hard-fought victory. In every battle, there will always be a winner and in the spirit of sportsmanship and love for our state, the Governor-elect must see his victory as a higher call to service to the people of Enugu State,” the IPAC chairman said.
While saluting other candidates who took part in the contest for their doggedness, Hon Alor appealed to them “not to distract the incoming Governor with court cases.”
The emergence of new leadership and Dr Peter Mba as the pilot is set to usher a relief and set the stage for a new trajectory in governance.
