Halima Amira Junaid, granddaughter of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, is set to tie the knot with Walid Shehu Mauzu in Kaduna State.
Halima is the daughter of Nana Hadiza, Buhari’s daughter from a previous marriage, who later married former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami (SAN). Hadiza is Malami’s third wife and was previously married to Captain Junaid Abdullahi, with whom she has six children.
The much-anticipated wedding fatiha will hold on August 30, 2025, in Kaduna. The celebrations are already underway with pre-wedding events including the bridal soiree, Kamu, and a grand dinner.
However, some members of the former first family were noticeably absent at the pre-wedding ceremonies.
