The 24 students abducted from Government Girls Secondary School, Maga, in Kebbi State, have been safely rescued.
Security sources confirmed the development to journalists on Tuesday, offering much-needed relief to families and residents who had been living in fear since the incident.
While full details of the rescue operation have not yet been disclosed, sources indicated that security agencies worked through the night to secure the girls’ release.
Authorities are expected to issue an official statement later tonight to provide further information on how the rescue was carried out.
