Super Eagles midfielder, Frank Onyeka featured as Brentford pulled off a stunning 3–2 victory over Liverpool in a Premier League showdown on Saturday.
Onyeka, making his fifth league appearance of the season and having registered one assist so far, was brought on in the 90th minute for Dango Ouattara to help strengthen the Bees’ midfield and protect their narrow lead.
Brentford’s goals came courtesy of Dango Ouattara, Kevin Schade, and an Igor Thiago penalty, while Milos Kerkez and Mohamed Salah were on target for Liverpool.
The upset in west London marks Liverpool’s longest losing streak in the Premier League since February 2021 and means the Reds have already matched their total number of defeats from their title-winning 2024/25 season.
