The Ooni of Ife, His Royal Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, has responded to the ongoing social media controversy involving influencer King Mitchy also known as Mukoro Michelle, and Ratel president Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.
The online feud, reportedly sparked by comments from King Mitchy, quickly drew widespread attention and reactions from social media users and celebrities, some of whom criticized both the influencer and relevant authorities.
According to Oba Omotoyosi Bayo Akinyele, who shared updates on X (formerly Twitter), he contacted the Ooni of Ife over claims by King Mitchy that she had communicated with the monarch via WhatsApp.
The revered traditional ruler, however, denied having any such conversation, describing the allegation as false and misleading.
The Ooni also reportedly advised members of the public not to engage with the influencer over the matter.
Following the monarch’s denial, many social media users called for authorities to investigate the claim, with some alleging possible impersonation and urging law enforcement to look into the situation.
