The Governor of Anambra state, Chukwuma Soludo has restated his administration commitment to protect and promote the right of children.
He made the assertion during the 2022 children’s Day celebration in Awka on Friday.
Soludo said, his administration would strengthen the policies and programmes of the state to support the promotion of children’s rights.
He described children’s Day celebration as a moment of re-orientation and renewal of Commitment to promote childrens right.
He also said that the state government are working out measures to ensure school children go back to school on Monday. In his statement he said,” Every child needs to be helped to reach their full potential irrespective of tribe or religion.
The Governor frowned at the sit-at-home directives by the proscribed indigenous people of Biafa (IPOB) which he said has affected school children negatively.
