Nigerian businessman and former senator, Ben Murray-Bruce, has proposed a controversial measure to restore integrity in the country’s political system. Writing on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Murray-Bruce suggested that all politicians in Nigeria should undergo lie detector tests administered by an independent international organization.
According to Murray-Bruce, candidates involved in kidnapping, sponsoring acts of terrorism, or demanding ransoms should be immediately disqualified from contesting any elective office in the country.
