Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has explained the coalition’s earlier decision regarding party affiliations, stressing that he and Peter Obi requested to remain in their respective parties, the SDP and Labour Party, until the conclusion of bye-elections and out-of-season elections.

El-Rufai noted that with all pending elections concluded last week, there was no longer a reason for them to stay in the SDP or Labour Party.

He noted, “By the grace of God, along with other partners, we’re going to repeat what we did in 2015 when we got rid of the incompetent, stealing, and corrupt PDP administration.”

The former governor criticized the current Kaduna State government, claiming it is “led by people that have no name, no address, no surname to protect, and therefore they think the purpose of being in government is to steal and divert public funds.”

He stressed a moral responsibility to remove the administration, saying, “we therefore have a duty to contribute in sending them back home so they go to prison by the grace of God.”

El-Rufai also urged Kaduna residents to engage politically: “I want to call on all the people of Kaduna State to come and register with the ADC, get their permanent voter’s card, and prepare to vote out this incompetent, cursed, and useless people pretending to be a government.”
