Operatives of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) have apprehended a suspected ritual murderer and kidnapper, Levi Obieze, popularly known as “E de Play, E de Show,” at the Gbaji checkpoint along the Badagry–Seme Road in Lagos State.
In a statement on Thursday, NIS Public Relations Officer Akinsola Akinlabi announced that Obieze was intercepted by border-patrol officers as he attempted to flee the country on a motorcycle. The arrest followed credible intelligence linking him to multiple heinous crimes in Enugu State.
Obieze, a native of Umuojor village in the Isiagu Community of Enugu, is accused of masterminding the recent abduction of a 13-year-old girl. His compound was reportedly the scene of a gruesome discovery: the decomposing corpses of two pregnant women found in soakaway pits, sparking shock and outrage among residents.
The suspect was handed over to the appropriate law enforcement authorities for further investigation and prosecution. The NIS commended its Lagos Border Patrol Command for the swift operation and urged members of the public to provide any additional information on similar cases.
