Grammy-winning singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has revealed the alternative career paths she would have pursued if music had not worked out for her.
During a recent Q&A session with fans on X, a user asked what she would likely be doing today had she not found success in the music industry. Tems replied that she would probably have ventured into a numbers-driven profession.
“I might have been an accountant or a mathematics teacher,” she wrote.
Before deciding to pursue music full-time, Tems worked as a digital marketer. She resigned from her job in 2018, a move she has described in past interviews as a “life or death” moment, reflecting the intense personal and professional challenges she faced early in her career.
