The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Original Result Slip will be available for printing from Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
In a notice issued to candidates and stakeholders, JAMB stated that the Original Result Slip contains important information, including the candidate’s photograph, national ranking, and other security features required for verification and admission processes.
According to the examination body, the document is one of the official requirements for post-UTME screening and admission consideration by tertiary institutions across the country. Candidates seeking admission into universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education are therefore advised to obtain and keep the slip for future use.
JAMB noted that candidates can conveniently print the Original Result Slip from any internet-enabled device, including personal computers, smartphones, and accredited business centres.
The board further urged candidates to carefully review all details on the printed slip to ensure accuracy and promptly report any discrepancies through the appropriate channels.
Education stakeholders have welcomed the development, describing it as a crucial step in the admission process and encouraging candidates to secure copies of the document ahead of post-UTME registrations by their institutions of choice.
Candidates are also advised to keep both digital and hard copies of the Original Result Slip, as it may be required at various stages of the admission exercise.
