The Federal Government says the fourth evacuation flight from South Africa is expected to arrive at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, bringing home 282 Nigerian returnees.
In an update issued by the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Kimiebi Ebienfa, the evacuation flight, operated by Air Peace, is carrying a total of 284 passengers, comprising 272 adults and 12 infants.
The ministry said two government officials are also on board, bringing the total number of people on the flight to 284, while the number of Nigerian returnees stands at 282.
“The expected time of arrival of the fourth evacuation flight from South Africa today, operated by Air Peace, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, is 7:30 p.m.,” Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson said in a statement.
The latest airlift is part of the Federal Government’s ongoing evacuation exercise for Nigerians returning from South Africa amid recent developments affecting foreign nationals in the country.
