The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has commenced its campaign for the 2027 presidential election with the inauguration of its national campaign office in Abuja.
The office, named the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Office, was inaugurated by the party’s presidential candidate and Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.
In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Yusuf, the APM said its campaign would focus on presenting Makinde’s record in governance and offering policy solutions to Nigerians.
“The Makinde/Daura campaign will focus on solutions while presenting the candidate’s policy choices and proven record of governance to the electorate,” the statement read.
The APM said it had witnessed an influx of new members and supporters since Makinde and his running mate, Daura, emerged as the party’s presidential and vice-presidential candidates.
The party described Makinde’s candidacy as a combination of competence, youthful energy, administrative experience and broad public acceptance, which it said were necessary to build a safer and more prosperous Nigeria.
According to the APM, Makinde has also held consultations with political leaders, stakeholders and communities across the country to better understand citizens’ concerns and develop a national agenda.
The party said it would soon unveil a comprehensive policy blueprint containing what it described as practical solutions to Nigeria’s challenges.
