Argentina’s President Milei Replaces Cabinet Chief

The government of Argentine President Javier Milei announced Monday the resignation of cabinet chief Nicolas Posse and his replacement by Interior Minister Guillermo Francos. Under the Argentine constitution, the cabinet chief is the highest-ranked minister. “Doctor Guillermo Francos will assume the function of head of the cabinet of ministers with the objective of bringing greater political volume” to the role, the government said in a statement on social media platform X.
