FG Releases N22 Billion to States for Basic Education, Teacher Training

The Federal Government has disbursed over ₦22 billion to the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to enhance infrastructure in public schools and improve teacher quality across the country. Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, made the disclosure in Abuja during the official launch of the School-Based Management Committee–School Improvement Programme (SBMC-SIP) and the Teacher Professional Development (TPD) Programme. According to Dr. Alausa, ₦2 billion was released under the SBMC-SIP to support over 15,000 education projects nationwide. DHQ Releases Names, Photos Of Soldiers Killed In Delta Attack

The identities of the Nigerian Army commander, three officers, and 12 soldiers who were killed by attackers in Delta community have been revealed. The Defence Headquarters shared their photos and names on X account on Monday. The fallen soldiers, serving with the 181 Amphibious Battalion, were on a peace-keeping mission to quell community clashes in Bomadi Local Government of Delta State when the incident occurred.
