The management team of iconic Nigerian musician 2Baba has raised alarm over internal conflicts and alleged interference that have undermined the artiste’s international career.
Speaking during an Instagram Live session with media personality Daddy Freeze, members of the team detailed how key global projects had been stalled due to unresolved personal issues.
According to the team, 2Baba’s career is at a critical stage where global expansion was essential.
One member noted that many Nigerian entertainers are relocating to international markets for better opportunities, stressing that 2Baba should not be held back by personal entanglements.
“Even if 100,000 people are listening overseas, the earnings are enough to sustain a global career,” he said. “2Baba needs to understand that this woman is bad for business.”
Pressed about the role of the woman’s family, the team declined to elaborate. “We don’t want to talk about family. This thing is deeper than what people see online,” one member said, revealing he had personally witnessed troubling incidents: “I’ve entered their bedroom and seen things I’m not meant to see. I need therapy for what I’ve seen.”
The management said their long-term strategy has always been to elevate 2Baba to the level of globally recognised African icons. “The goal was to make him bigger. You may not compare yourself to Burna Boy, but you can reach what Angélique Kidjo has achieved. You can still do arenas,” one member explained.
They disclosed that a fully planned international rollout—including a UK tour, Africa tour, stadium concerts and government-backed cultural engagements in at least five countries, was set to begin before internal interference halted operations.
“But Natasha came and said no. Everything was stamped down. We couldn’t move,” the team claimed.
The management believes resolving these internal disputes was crucial for restoring momentum to 2Baba’s stalled global agenda.
