Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems, has secured her second Grammy Award, winning the Best African Music Performance category at the 67th Grammy Awards.
Tems clinched the award with her song Love Me JeJe, triumphing over strong contenders, including Tomorrow by Yemi Alade, MMS by Asake featuring Wizkid, Sensational by Chris Brown featuring Davido and Lojay, and Higher by Burna Boy.
This marks a significant achievement for Tems, who previously won a Grammy for her collaboration on Future’s Wait For U in 2023.
The Best African Music Performance category was introduced in 2024, with South Africa’s Tyla winning its inaugural edition for her hit song Water.
