The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council, has received renewed support for its ultra-modern Congress Hall project following an on-site inspection by the Managing Director of Bespoke Holdings Limited, Dr Christian Olatunji.

The visit, which forms part of the ongoing partnership between the NUJ FCT Council and Bespoke Holdings, saw Dr Olatunji tour the Secretariat alongside his team to assess the level of work completed and areas requiring urgent intervention.

He was warmly welcomed by the Council leadership, led by Vice Chairman, Comrade Yahaya Ndambabo, who represented the Chairman, Comrade Grace Ike, alongside other executive members.

During the inspection, the delegation was taken round the construction site, where Dr Olatunji observed that substantial work still remains and pledged immediate material support to fast-track the project.

“Houses are not built on paper, but on ground,” Olatunji said. “I will delegate an engineer to the site to provide technical support because it is better to have more than one engineer on site, so they can work together with the Council’s engineer in any area of need that may arise.”

He further assured of sustained involvement from Bespoke Holdings, including deploying company engineers to collaborate with the site’s building engineer to ensure quality delivery.

Describing the Congress Hall project as commendable, Olatunji reaffirmed his company’s commitment to its completion.

“The project is a laudable one and we are happy to be part of it,” he stated. “Whatever we can do at this DPC level, we will do, and later we will provide more support.”

Earlier, Comrade Ndambabo expressed appreciation to Bespoke Holdings for its continued show of solidarity with the media community.

He described Dr Olatunji not only as a real estate developer but also as a philanthropist with a strong passion for community development.

“Dr Christian Olatunji has demonstrated genuine love for journalists and the NUJ family,” Ndambabo said. “His support, both in materials and technical expertise, will go a long way in ensuring the speedy completion of this facility.”

He added that the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to strengthening media infrastructure in the FCT and providing journalists with a befitting Congress Hall for professional engagements.
