Promises people-centred representation in Kogi Assembly
The Leading Aspirant for the Kogi State House of Assembly, representing Lokoja 1, Muhammad Mikail (Ya’aba) has submitted his letter of intent to the Party Executives of All Progressive Congreds, APC Lokoja Local government at the Party Secretariat today the 3rd of April 2026.
The candidate who was accompanied by a huge delegation of supporters and well wishers was warmly received by the Excos led by the APC Chairman, Hon. Idris Aloma.
The Chairman encouraged the candidate to ensure he maintains his position as an astute party man, engage stakeholders ensure everyone is carried along.

Muhammad Mikail thanked the Chairman and other EXCOS assured them that his aspiration is not driven by personal ambition alone, but by a genuine desire to serve the people of Lokoja 1 Constituency diligently, strengthen the party’s presence and electoral fortunes in his constituency.
Mr Mikail added that his confidence is renewed by the all-inclusive, people-driven leadership style of the humble, impact oriented leader; the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo who since his assumption of office as Governor has demonstrated a deep sense of service, commitment, resilience and good-listenership to the cries of Kogites.

The Aspirant passionately advocated that effective representation at the State Assembly must be people-centred, consultative, and anchored on accountability, transparency, and measurable impact.
He added that If given the opportunity, I he intends to be a strong voice for his ward and ensure that the interests of his constituency are adequately articulated in legislative debates and development planning.
Mr Mikail has possessed relevant academic, professional, and leadership experience that would add value to the legislative process. He also holds a master’s degree in communications and media studies and a bachelor’s degree in mass communications (Second class upper honours).
He is equally an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, besides participating and attending professional and leadership training and workshops both within and outside the Country.
Mr Muhammad soliticed the support of the EXCOS and assured the party faithful that he would remain accessible to party members and constituents, adding that he has built a reputation for integrity, teamwork, and commitment to impact.
