The “Kerewawa” singer, whose full name is Michael Tertsea Aboh,
(Mike Aboh), a member of the defunct music group Zule Zoo, has slumped and died while taking his bath.

The sad news was announced via Zule Zoo’s official Instagram account.

Terna Rapsody Hyacinth, who is close to the family, also confirmed the development in a post on his official Facebook page.

He stated that, “I wish people were eager to help you survive when you were alive suffering, roaming the street of Makurdi than the way they are eager to let the world know of your demise today!! Rest on!

An anonymous lamented on how are Nigerians hustling for their own survival, supposed to know that one of the millions of musical artistes in Nigeria “is suffering and roaming the streets of Makurdi”? And why would it be the responsibility of anyone outside the circle of willing family and friends, to do something about it?! When a teacher dies, no one questions all teachers nationwide or the general public for not helping the teacher while they were alive. Enough is enough. Stop blaming others over the demise of anyone popular. It’s not their colleagues’ responsibility to cater to their welfare or health. Rest in peace Mike Aboh. You were an important part of my childhood. Loved the music and dance steps.

Another commented, ” so sad. Nigerians would always go the extra mile to donate millions for your funeral when you pass away but when you are alive they find it so difficult to HELP you , Why ? Funny country .

May his soul rest in peace.
