Reaffirming his administration’s “One State, One People, One Agenda” vision, the governor emphasized the ongoing commitment to equitable development across the state, particularly in underdeveloped regions like the Anambra North Senatorial Zone.
“We are deliberately opening up long-neglected communities like Okpoko and Olumbanasa. Our administration is connecting these areas to boost local economies and improve the lives of our people,” Governor Soludo said.

The State Commissioner for Works, Mr. Ifeanyi Okoma, explained that the construction of the dual carriageway was aimed at transforming the state’s gateway and enhancing accessibility to the international airport.
Community leaders and representatives from Anambra East and Oyi constituencies, including Mr. Peter Aniekwe and Mr. Innocent Ojike, praised Governor Soludo for his visible developmental strides and called attention to other priority projects in their areas.
Earlier in the day, the governor led the Speaker and members of the State House of Assembly on an inspection tour of ongoing legacy projects, including the Solution Fun City, the Government House, and the Governor’s Lodge under construction in Awka.
Commending the governor after the inspection, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Dr. Somtochukwu Udeze, described the projects as prudent use of public funds. He also lauded Soludo for breaking a 34-year-old jinx by initiating the construction of a befitting Government House and Governor’s Lodge in the state capital.
Residents in the area applauded the governor for honouring his predecessor and expressed appreciation for the growing transformation across various sectors in the state.
