The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), FCT Chapter, is forging a strategic partnership with NTA Channel 5 Abuja in preparation for the upcoming International Women’s Day, aiming to strengthen grassroots representation in media narratives.
During a visit to the station, Comrade Bassey Ita Ikpang, Chairperson of NAWOJ FCT and proud member of the NTA family, expressed deep gratitude for NTA Channel 5’s consistent support in amplifying the association’s activities, providing visibility to its initiatives.
Ikpang emphasized NAWOJ’s commitment to advocating for women’s rights, ensuring that crucial women’s issues stay at the forefront of national discourse. “NTA has been a strong pillar in promoting credible journalism, and as women journalists, we recognize the power of collaboration to amplify our voices, especially for those at the grassroots level,” Ikpang stated.
In response, Mr. Paul Atte, General Manager of NTA Channel 5, reaffirmed the station’s commitment to supporting NAWOJ’s mission. He highlighted the pivotal role women play in shaping society, emphasizing the importance of inclusive media representation.
