“Free Mind” Goes 2X Platinum As Tems Secures Multiple RIAA Certifications

Nigerian R&B sensation Tems continues to make history, reaching new career heights with multiple record-breaking achievements. Her hit single “Free Mind” has officially been certified 2X platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), surpassing 2 million sales in the United States. The song also enjoyed an impressive 26-week run on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 46.

Her success extends beyond “Free Mind”. “Higher”, another standout track from her debut EP For Broken Ears, has achieved platinum certification after selling 1 million units. Additionally, her collaboration with Brent Faiyaz, “Found”, and her BET Award-winning single “Me & U” from her debut album Born In The Wild have both been certified gold by the RIAA.

Tems further cemented her place in global music history at the 67th Grammy Awards, where she won her second Grammy for Best African Music Performance, making her the first Nigerian artist to claim the prestigious honor. She also received nominations for Best Global Album and Best R&B Song, further solidifying her influence on the international stage.
