The ECOWAS Commission, in partnership with Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, has visited the Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company (IVM) in Anambra State as part of efforts to advance the regional automotive industry framework.

The delegation, which included officials from the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), inspected Innoson’s assembly lines, compressed natural gas (CNG) facilities, and stability testing units to assess Nigeria’s implementation of its National Automotive Industry Development Plan.

During the visit, Innoson management presented its expansion blueprint, which includes commissioning two new manufacturing plants and strengthening exports to Sierra Leone, Mali, and Ghana.

ECOWAS representatives hailed Innoson as a trailblazer in local manufacturing and regional integration.
