The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of three students from the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure (FECA), who were working on a farm near Akure Airport.
According to reports, the victims, who were undergoing Industrial Training (IT) at the farm, were kidnapped on Saturday evening while returning home. The incident occurred at Oke Oge in the Oba-Ile area of Akure North Local Government Area.
Spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, Funmi Odunlami, confirmed the incident, stating that anti-kidnapping operatives had been deployed to the scene to track down the perpetrators. Similarly, the state commander of Amotekun, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, said security personnel were actively working to rescue the victims.
Meanwhile, the kidnappers have contacted the victims’ families, demanding a ransom of N15 million for their release. A family source confirmed the ransom demand, adding that negotiations were ongoing.
Security agencies continue efforts to ensure the safe return of the abducted students.
