As the holy month of Ramadan draws to a close, Vice President Kashim Shettima has called on Nigerians to sustain prayers for President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, as well as for peace, stability, and national progress.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of Ramadan Tafsir at the State House Mosque in Abuja, Shettima emphasized the power of prayer as a source of strength for both individuals and the nation. He urged religious leaders and citizens alike to continue seeking divine wisdom for the country’s leadership.
“Prayer is our greatest weapon against despair and the most powerful armor for those entrusted with leadership,” Shettima stated. “I urge us all to continue praying for our beloved nation and for His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
A statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications, Stanley Nkwocha, reiterated Shettima’s message, stressing that governance is a shared responsibility. He highlighted the crucial role of religious leaders in guiding society’s moral compass.
The Vice President prayed for Almighty Allah to strengthen the nation’s unity and deepen the sense of duty among citizens, saying, “May He make Nigeria a land of peace, unity, and enduring prosperity.”
Concluding the event, the Chief Imam of the State House Mosque, Sheikh Abdulwahid Sulaiman Abubakar, offered prayers for President Tinubu’s administration, asking for divine guidance, courage, and wisdom to lead the nation toward economic and social prosperity.
