Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has unveiled a new spiritual movement, the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle (NWPT).
Dikeh announced the initiative through a post on Instagram, describing NWPT as an interdenominational altar and a “global movement of consecrated believers” seeking what she described as the raw power, purity and presence of God.
The movement is anchored on the biblical passage: “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins.”
According to the actress, NWPT is intended to provide a space for Christians seeking spiritual revival and deeper commitment.
“NWPT exists as a dwelling place of His presence for those who refuse to settle for lukewarm Christianity and are hungry for genuine revival, fire, and transformation,” the statement said.
‘This is not a church’
Dikeh said the movement differs from a conventional church, describing it as an intensive gathering for believers dedicated to advancing their faith.
“This is not a church; it is an intense gathering of those consecrated and equipped for the purposes of God,” the statement said.
“A people set apart, refined by His presence, and commissioned to advance His Kingdom.”
The movement’s stated vision is to promote a global awakening of believers and equip them to transform communities and nations through Christian teachings.
Its mission includes building an interdenominational platform for prayer, revival and apostolic training, while encouraging evangelism and what it describes as spiritual freedom through the Holy Spirit.
NWPT is expected to hold weekly fellowship meetings.
The announcement comes months after Dikeh began signing several of her social media posts as “Ada El-Roi” and became increasingly active in Pastor Jerry Eze’s NSPPD community.
Her increased involvement in Christian activities has also coincided with reported changes in her dressing and public lifestyle.
Last year, Dikeh gave a public testimony at a service at Streams of Joy International Church, where she spoke about overcoming smoking, alcohol addiction, masturbation and prolonged anger issues.
She told the congregation that she started smoking at the age of 13 and said she had experienced healing from the struggles.
Dikeh, who later ventured into politics as a governorship running mate in Rivers State, has also spoken publicly about her past marriage to Olakunle Churchill.
This year, she reflected on the turbulent relationship a decade after their highly publicised separation, before the former couple later reconciled publicly and ended their long-running feud.
