UK-based pastor and founder of The Nxtion Family (formerly SPAC Nation), Tobi Adegboyega, has once again sparked public debate after he declared that money was vital to fulfilling God’s purpose.
Speaking during a recent sermon on purpose and destiny, the flamboyant preacher told his congregation that spirituality alone cannot drive success or divine purpose without financial resources.
According to him, his personal experience when he battled cancer, revealed the crucial role money played in achieving positive outcomes.
“God isn’t about religion, Christianity, or labels. To fulfill God’s purpose, money is essential. God helped me survive cancer, but yes, money did the madness. It was money that made me a priority. Money is my servant,” he said.
Adegboyega narrated how his financial capacity influenced the urgency of his medical treatment, suggesting that wealth accelerated his recovery process.
“Money was the guy that told the hospital, ‘you’re not keeping this guy on the waiting list for three months.’ Money said I should be treated as number one priority. It was money that spoke,” he added.
Pastor Adegboyega, widely recognized for his luxury lifestyle and outspoken views on faith and finance, has long courted controversy for linking prosperity to divine purpose.
While some critics accuse him of promoting materialism, his followers defend his teachings as a modern interpretation of Christian empowerment and stewardship.
