NIMASA Partners With Kaduna State To Promote Trade and Industrial Development

The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA says it will continue to partner Kaduna Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, KADCCIMA to promote Trade and industrial development in the country.

 

Director General of NIMASA Dr. Yusuf Bashir Jamoh stated this at the 44th Kaduna International Trade fair with the theme “Promoting Value Addition for sustainable growth and development” in Kaduna.

 

Representated by the Abuja Zonal Director of the Agency Mr. Zailani Atta, the DG explained that, in line with the mandate of the Maritime sector, the collaboration would enhance import and export for revenue generation and job creation through value addition.

 

The NIMASA DG pointed out that, the importance of the Maritime sector cannot be over emphasized as it account for the movement of about 90 ninety percent of world trade which is critical to the entire supply chain of the countey’s economy.

 

According to Dr. Jamoh, to achieve the set goals and objectives, there must be collaboration and partnership which would in turn boost Trade and provide opportunities for medium small and micro enterprises.

 

Speaking also, KADCCIMA president, Alh. Aliyu Suleiman said the 44th Kaduna Trade Fair is targeted at providing a platform for business interaction to enhance the country’s competitiveness in the global business arena through an aggressive value chain development.
