Troops of the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army Sector 3, under Operation Whirl Stroke, have successfully rescued a kidnapped man, Alhaji Shuaibu, 40, in Yaja Village, Lau Local Government Area of Taraba State.
According to a statement by the Brigade’s Public Relations Officer, Lieutenant Umar Muhammad, Shuaibu was abducted on December 9, 2025, but was safely rescued on December 11 following credible intelligence on the activities of the suspected kidnappers.
Troops promptly launched a hot pursuit mission, forcing the criminals to abandon the victim.
Commander of the 6 Brigade, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, praised the troops for their swift action and professionalism. He reaffirmed the Brigade’s commitment to protecting lives and property in Taraba State.
Brigadier General Uwa also assured residents of a safe and peaceful festive season, urging them to remain vigilant and provide timely information to support ongoing security operations.
