Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has revealed that he hopes to return to school and earn a university degree after retiring from professional football.
The Nigerian international said he is already preparing for life beyond football, noting that a player’s career is relatively short, typically lasting between 20 and 25 years.
Osimhen explained that although he has made investments to secure his future financially, obtaining a university degree remains one of his personal ambitions.
The Galatasaray forward said he hopes his decision will inspire others to understand that it is possible to leave school, succeed in another career, and later return to complete one’s education.
Speaking on his plans for life after football, Osimhen said:
“I’d love to go back to school and earn a degree because football only lasts 20–25 years. I already have investments, but getting a university degree is one of my goals. I want people to know that you can leave school, succeed in another profession, and still come back to complete your education.”
