Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has hit back at Laila Charani following explosive allegations that she introduced Laila to drugs and contributed to the collapse of her marriage to Senator Ned Nwoko.
In a series of posts shared on social media, Regina issued a strong rebuttal, directly addressing Laila’s claims about her sexuality, parenting, and her relationship with their shared husband.
Laila had earlier accused Regina of introducing her to substance use, claiming it nearly destroyed her marriage and alleging that Regina was involved in same-sex relationships.
Reacting publicly, Regina did not outright deny the same-sex claims but questioned how Laila could be so certain, hinting at a possible past encounter between them.
“Saying I sleep with every single girl is laughable,” Regina wrote. “Sleeping with the same gender isn’t something I consider shameful, but how is the other woman so sure? Is she certain because I slept with her too?”
Regina further alleged that Laila’s continued access to her son was only possible because of what she called the “disadvantages of polygamy.” She hinted at undisclosed “atrocities” Laila had committed in the past but declined to reveal details.
“If not for the disadvantages of polygamy, her son and mine wouldn’t even be together because of the things we’ve caught him doing,” she said. “Ned better protect my kids — their foundation is what matters most.”
The latest exchange comes after Senator Ned Nwoko publicly defended his marriage to Regina, presenting evidence that she was 21 years old at the time of their wedding, not 17, as widely speculated. He also cautioned the public to treat Laila’s claims with skepticism, alleging that she was struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues following an abandoned rehabilitation program.
