A series of leaked audio recordings involving controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, and social media personality Saida Boj has surfaced online, shedding light on their negotiations over a potential music collaboration.
The audio clips, shared by Instagram blog @wahalanonetwork, captured Saida Boj asking Portable about his fee for featuring on a track from her forthcoming EP. In response, the singer initially demanded ₦10 million for the collaboration.
Saida Boj explained that the song was intended for her EP and that she could not afford the quoted amount. Emphasising the seriousness of the project, she said the request was not for casual social media promotion but for an official music release.
Following her response, Portable reduced his fee to ₦8 million but stood by his valuation, insisting that his contribution could significantly elevate her career. He described himself as a star and maintained that featuring him would be a strategic move for her musical growth.
Saida Boj, however, pushed back against the claim, noting that everyone has a future while acknowledging Portable’s prominence in the music industry.
The exchange has since sparked reactions online, with social media users debating celebrity pricing, artistic value and collaboration dynamics in Nigeria’s music scene.
