The former Commissioner for Information in Anambra state, Mr. C. Don Adinuba has debunked the rumours of the death of his principal and Former Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano.
Mr. Adinuba on Friday, dismissed the viral claims as baseless, misleading, and malicious, adding that “Chief Obiano is alive and in good health, contrary to widespread rumours circulating on social media suggesting that he had passed away.”
Adinuba revealed that he had personally spoken with Obiano and confirmed that the former governor is “hale and hearty” and currently residing in the United States—not in the United Kingdom as some online platforms had reported.
“Obiano has never lived in the United Kingdom. He lives in the United States of America. I just spoke with him now,” Adinuba reiterated.
He called on the public to ignore the rumours, stressing that such unfounded stories can cause needless panic and emotional distress to Obiano’s family, friends, and the people of Anambra State.
